How to get more Google reviews without being pushy
Would you pick a business with 3.9 stars or one with 4.6? Your clients make that choice too, often before they ever contact you.
Why happy clients do not leave reviews
Not because they are unhappy. Because nobody asked, or they were asked weeks later when the good feeling was gone, or the link took them through five screens.
The routine that works
- Ask at the high point. Right after the keys are handed over, the lease is signed or the job is finished.
- Make it one tap. Send the direct link to your Google review form, not your website. You can find it in your Google Business Profile under “Ask for reviews”.
- Keep the message short. “Thanks again for choosing us. Would you mind leaving a short review? It really helps a small business. [link]”
- Reply to every review within a day or two, good or bad.
- Keep them coming. Recent reviews matter, so this works best as a habit, not a one-off campaign.
One rule
Never buy reviews or write them yourself. It breaks Google's rules and it is easy to spot. A steady routine gets you real ones.
Automating it
If remembering to ask is the problem, the request can go out automatically after each signed lease or finished job, and unhappy replies can come to you privately first so you can put things right. See review requests.

Send your website. I build a working demo of the enquiry system on your own business, so you can see it before you decide anything.
- 1You send your website. Takes a minute.
- 2Within two working days you get a link to a demo built from your site: real-looking enquiries, replies in your tone, the follow-up steps.
- 3If you like it, it goes live on your real enquiries within 7 days and runs free for 7 days. Keep it only if it pays. If not, you keep the ideas. No follow-up chasing.
